Jonathan's Experience
Jonathan H. Winstead was admitted to practice law in North Carolina in 2004. Jonathan was born and raised in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He graduated from Appalachian State University with BA degrees in History and Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2004. His practice focuses on the areas of Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability, and Personal Injury. He is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Jonathan’s goal is to provide competent and effective legal services to the people of North Carolina.

Jonathan has dedicated his career to helping injured workers. It is difficult to deal with employers when an injury occurs. Jonathan has represented clients at numerous mediations with the goal in mind to achieve a settlement that fairly compensates an injured worker. If a claim is denied or no settlement is reached, Jonathan is prepared to go to a hearing before the North Carolina Industrial Commission.

Jonathan has also represented numerous claimants seeking Social Security Disability benefits. Interests Beyond the Courtroom
When away from the office, Jonathan enjoys reading. He is especially fond of historical non-fiction and presidential biographies. He also enjoys watching sports.
